Patek Philippe 5074P
November 9th, 2009
|
As with all Patek Philippe watches , the 5074P represents the very height of the watch making art. The 5074 has been re-issued in 2009 in a platinum version, hence the P. A perpetual calendar and one of the purest sounding wrist watch minute repeaters, make this piece a must for collectors around the globe. In addition it has an unusually large case for a Patek, 42mm. Unfortunately this is not a watch that we will be stocking any time soon, but you are always free to contact our concierge service...! Patek Philippe |
Dream Machine
October 30th, 2009
It isn't often that we at Concierge Group feel the need for a plug outside of our usual reviews and marketing, but this device deserves to be highlighted. The Viliv X70 is a fully fledged Windows XP Computer (XP has advantages for processing speed on these devices even though a Vista version is available, no doubt a Windows 7 upgrade is in the pipeline) with built in mobile broadband modem, just pop your sim in and you have a truly mobile device. The touch screen thumb keyboard is superb, and the solid state drive means a virtually silent operation. At about the size of a standard paperback this UMPC packs a battery life of over 5.5 hours(continuous use), plus a standby time of over 150 hours, with an instant resume function.
No doubt you have guessed that we have bought one and so far it is absolutely fantastic. A bit pricey but the quality of the device is evident when you actually hold one. Our only quibbles are that the lock for the battery seems a little flimsy (even though it holds solidly), and the configuration of the wireless broadband took some time to get going, if this is the kind of machine you think you need we couldn't find a better spec than this....
Available at one UK outlet, and in the US
