We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a great friend of ours. Wayne Brown has been in the music business for most of his life, and has had the privilege of working with some of the best artists of our times. |
A unique brand of Jazz and fusion probably best describes his music, vibrant instrumentation and vocal arrangements come together to produce something quite special. We wholeheartedly recommend attending a gig or visiting the VJB (Virtual Jazz Band) blog for more information.

A Fine pen ?

There are many watch lovers who also have an appreciation of fine writing instruments. In fact, most of the watch magazines run articles on pens quite regularly. We particularly like the Caran d'Ache and Yard O'led brands. One quintessentially English, the other pure Swiss precision, both refined and elegant. In fact, it was interesting to see Giles Brandreth lament on the demise of the written word the other evening, we can only agree with him. Emails, texts and even blogs are fine but nothing beats the written word. In 100 years time how many important letters will appear at auction ? There is nothing like a letter or note, written on good quality paper, with a good pen......

Watch Of The Week F.P. Journe

F.P. Journe has long been one of our favourite watch makers, this particular watch is absolutely incredible. The dial at 10:00 has a hand that rotates once every second. Given that this dial has a scale marked in hundredths, it is actually possible to measure a time interval to this accuracy ! In addition to this it does not have the usual chronograph buttons but instead uses a patented rocker to start, stop and reset to zero. Apart from the obvious display of horological prowess, this watch would sit nicely on the wrist of mr Usain Bolt...! F.P. Journe |
Roger is still the Greatest !
February 10th, 2009
The Greatest tennis player ever (in our humble opinion) was reduced to tears by his defeat to Rafael Nadal at the Australian open recently. It is commonplace to see the victor in tears with emotion but hardly ever the defeated. I think Roger felt that he could have won. So many break points un-converted, it was a very moving moment. But what does this mean for the future ? Will the great one surpass the Sampras record of 14 slam titles ? Will he ever beat Nadal again ? We think that the answer to both of these is yes. Roger still has the game, and an amazing record. The only thing he needs to do is get Nadal out of his head. Nadal has the ability to make Roger doubt himself, and doubt has no place in a grand slam final. This article is a little biased but we just love Roger. It must be said, however, that Nadal is truly something very special, he has redefined the game in a way that few players ever do. This season will be watched with eager interest and we tip Roger to beat the Sampras record and get revenge on his nemesis... Good Luck Roger.
We are also pleased to be able to offer the last few Maurice Lacroix Roger Federer edition Chronographs at excellent prices.
