Roger is still the Greatest !
February 10th, 2009
The Greatest tennis player ever (in our humble opinion) was reduced to tears by his defeat to Rafael Nadal at the Australian open recently. It is commonplace to see the victor in tears with emotion but hardly ever the defeated. I think Roger felt that he could have won. So many break points un-converted, it was a very moving moment. But what does this mean for the future ? Will the great one surpass the Sampras record of 14 slam titles ? Will he ever beat Nadal again ? We think that the answer to both of these is yes. Roger still has the game, and an amazing record. The only thing he needs to do is get Nadal out of his head. Nadal has the ability to make Roger doubt himself, and doubt has no place in a grand slam final. This article is a little biased but we just love Roger. It must be said, however, that Nadal is truly something very special, he has redefined the game in a way that few players ever do. This season will be watched with eager interest and we tip Roger to beat the Sampras record and get revenge on his nemesis... Good Luck Roger.

Roger Federer the Greatest ?
November 16th, 2008

Being a keen tennis fan and player, there is often occasion for debate regarding the greatest players. When it comes to Roger I am totally biased, for me he is the perfect tennis machine, the most graceful player ever to walk on a tennis court. 2008 hasn't been his best year for a long time and the question is how many more slams can he win ? How long will he continue to play ? |
A question worth asking yourself is this. If Rafael Nadal had been born 5 years later, would Roger have become undoubtedly the greatest player of all time, by amassing all the titles and producing a back to back grand slam ? This is a question that will never be answered. Despite not being able to capture the French open, he has made so many finals and been such an inspiration that for me he will always be the greatest player of all time. PS, Watchconcierge has a number of Roger Federer edition Maurice Lacroix watches for sale, we only have small numbers left....!
