Patek Philippe 5074P
November 9th, 2009
|
As with all Patek Philippe watches , the 5074P represents the very height of the watch making art. The 5074 has been re-issued in 2009 in a platinum version, hence the P. A perpetual calendar and one of the purest sounding wrist watch minute repeaters, make this piece a must for collectors around the globe. In addition it has an unusually large case for a Patek, 42mm. Unfortunately this is not a watch that we will be stocking any time soon, but you are always free to contact our concierge service...! Patek Philippe |
Armand Nicolet New S05 Collection
October 2nd, 2009
|
It is not often that we get really excited about a watch but the new S05 collection with black DLC coated titanium cases from Armand Nicolet are truly gorgeous. DLC stands for Diamond Like Carbon and as its name suggests it is an extremely scratch resistant and hard wearing coating which improves the resilience of the base metal, in this case titanium. DLC was originally developed for military safety critical applications, and is used extensively in F1 and by NASA. What makes this watch attractive is the innovative mix of matt black and a splash of colour on the dial, as you can guess, we absolutely love it. |
This particular model, T618N-NR-G9610, is the complete calendar chronograph, containing the Armand Nicolet in-house AN 7751 TNK calibre movement. The matt black dial is extremely striking and the hour markers and hands have been applied with a black luminous coating. The 44mm case is a great size, balanced by a thickness of 15mm. The crystal is anti-glare, and screw down crown and case back provide water resistance to 30 ATM (300m). An absolutely gorgeous watch, available now http://www.watchconcierge.co.uk, go on, be different....

Watch Of The Week Bell & Ross BR-S
March 2nd, 2009
|
Bell & Ross have for a long time produced watches that are instantly recognisable. Iconic designs coupled with impressive dimensions, have made these watches stand out from the crowd. However, they have obviously come to the realisation that not everyone wants to wear a huge watch, and the new BR-S range is testament to this. At a mere 39mm this watch fits very comfortably on the wrist, and is clearly aimed at the style conscious. Bell & Ross |
The Bell & Ross classic style remains but this is a watch that may well attract a whole new type of buyer. We at the Concierge Group have always loved Bell & Ross and at this size I may just get one....
Watch Of The Week F.P. Journe
February 13th, 2009
|
F.P. Journe has long been one of our favourite watch makers, this particular watch is absolutely incredible. The dial at 10:00 has a hand that rotates once every second. Given that this dial has a scale marked in hundredths, it is actually possible to measure a time interval to this accuracy ! In addition to this it does not have the usual chronograph buttons but instead uses a patented rocker to start, stop and reset to zero. Apart from the obvious display of horological prowess, this watch would sit nicely on the wrist of mr Usain Bolt...! F.P. Journe |
